Day of Lincolnshire Folk Music, Song & Dance and Leadenham Artisan Market – Sunday 1st August 2021 10am-5pm

In its 11th year, the Day of Lincolnshire folk music, song and dance has grown into one of Leadenham’s biggest events attracting folk fans from all over the County and some even further, around the UK. The event has a fantastic reputation with talented acts, bands, singers, musicians and dancers perform in 5 different locations around the village. The stages at Leadenham Teahouse, Nun’s close village green stages are outdoors with lots of audience space to keep safely socially distanced. The music will begin at 11am and finish at 4.30pm, there will be some seating provided but we are encouraging visitors to bring their own for blankets and camping chairs and make a day of it.

As well as live music, song and dance to enjoy, visitors will be able to browse artisan stalls in the grounds of Leadenham Teahouse and across the road at Nuns Close Village Green. Leadenham Teahouse has a small gift shop & Post Office with lots of local producers approaching us to stock their products. With more than 20 independent suppliers in our small shop, the Teahouse and Post Office are passionate about small business and artisan producers, as well as being proud sellers of award winning local produce from Hambleton Bakery. The Leadenham Artisan Market is always something that the Teahouse has wanted to do, to give an outlet to these businesses. It’s important to us that entry remains free at these events, it is a wonderful way of bringing the community together, promote the village, and support the small businesses and talented craftspeople in our area.

The day has a real festival feel with festival food and drink menu at Leadenham Teahouse. We are delighted to be open for this one day event. Since March 2020, due to social distancing guidelines, Leadenham Teahouse has only been able to open as a take away and seasonal pop-up shop. Due to our tiny premises, we have found it difficult to social distance indoors within the busy Post Office. Leadenham Teahouse will be open from 10am-5pm on Sunday 1st August and also co-host the Leadenham Artisan Market with William Reeve of Leadenham Estate. The teahouse will be serving usual favourites, Stokes coffee, Hambleton Bakery savouries, sweet tarts, scones, and homemade brownie boxes. You will also be able to enjoy our full menu of loose leaf teas to take away and we are hoping to serve festival cocktails.”
